Preliminary
Hearing in the Borden Case before Judge Blaisdell, August 25 through
September 1, 1892
This brand new version (as of November 2003)
of Lizzie's Preliminary Hearing is unique. It combines a number of
transcriptions from various sources in an effort to reproduce, as
accurately and authentically as possible, the day-to-day proceedings
of this all-important legal event in the history of the Borden murders
of 1892.
We are proud to
say that the document finally reads in the order in which
the witnesses were called and includes the closing statements of
the defense and prosecution, the judge's summation and verdict,
the testimony of Thomas Keiran, and contains the entirety of Lizzie's
own Inquest testimony which was read into the official record but
not reproduced in the original transcription.
Searchable and complete.
With introductory essay by Harry Widdows and Stefani Koorey that
provides much needed information on the preliminary hearing process
and Lizzie's process specifically.
ALSO INCLUDED: separate break-out testimonies of all
major witnesses in PDF format. If you are looking for just one somebody's
testimony without opening the larger files, here is your perfect
research companion.
The Preliminary Hearing is searchable and in PDF
format for easy viewing on ANY computer or operating system (Mac,
PC, Linux). |
