BTW:  I've been thinking about this woman on death row.  Stef and I have been searching for an analagous (sp) crime, of a daughter-as-assasin Patricide.  So far, no luck.  Most girls who kill are teens, like 15,16,17 and do so WITh a boyfriend or a group.  It's usually combined with robbery--but those who kill their parents get the boyfriend to help with exhortations like "They want to break us up.."
And unless someone writes a book about a female Patricide, how are we to know, to compare?  So far, there has BEEN no comparison to the Borden crime, as to daughter/assasin.
That's why this "Holberg" case is so interesting.
Apparently she was alone, or at least did not cop out on an accomplice.  She first used a hammer on the 80 year-old man, then came the 60 stab wounds.  He may have represented her father /grandfather /patriarchal authority figure, for such a viscious attack of overkill must have kindled SOMETHING in her unconscious, or sub-conscious.
