A park near the house in 1892?
Was there a park within walking distance of Lizzie's house in 1892?

Sorry for the slow response.....don't check these other forums very often.
Based on a 1895 city map, it appears the nearest park was South Park (now called Kennedy Park). It is roughly half mile down South Main Street from the Borden house. Per Googlemaps, it is a 12 minute walk and a 4 minute bike ride. The bike ride time likely resembles 'carriage time'.
There could very well be small parks that I missed when I looked over the map.
