Blood splatter question

Post by keim »

I know that the murders occurred in time when forensics were very primitive, but I was wondering if the investigators made any sort of detailed diagrams of the blood spatters. The crime scene photos are fascinating, but they show very few fine detail (at least the photos I've ever seen). I've read a few descriptions about spatters on the wall behind Andrew, etc. but they can't be seen in the photos. I've always been curious about how much blood was actually spattered around, and what the patterns may have been. Even if instantanious death stopped the heart cold, I would assume that the flailing murder weapon would have strewn blood across rooms, up walls, and across ceilings.

It's a good question. You'd think the police would be used to drawing crime scenes. The reporters were really good at getting the big solid objects drawn but also made little mistakes (Like drawing a door to the outside in the north wall of the guest room!)

Actually, you can do it yourself.
Blow up a floorplan and get out a red pen and the blood evidence at:

I tried it in our hard copy of the Preliminary Hearing.
So did Stef.

You should see our hard copies!

I have always wandered why there weren't alot of blood condsidering the amount of blows to the head on each victim. The photos seem not to tell alot, but photograghy was a new thing at the time. But it does seem to me that the police really didn't know what todo or how to investiagate the crime scene. For instance, they didn't look through Lizzie things, because at the time you just didn't go through womens things. Of course now days they look through everything regardless of the person, regardless of sex.

Good thinking Snookums. If they'd have gone through all the things what do you think they would have found?

So I travel a lot and I get sick of this stuff - especially the "experts" who never stated that the windows being down on Thursday morning coincidently and low noisedly might have something to do with the murder. Hey "experts" you know who you are - I'll give you a final clue that has never been discovered, and has so far only been given to Kat. Ask Kat!
"I've spent years studying this solution and then I tripped on Liizzie Borden" - she died in my driveway, said a former German Count.
And b nice to newcomers. I know it appears that I am hostile as I read much back, but I'm on the road a lot and have no idea who uses this computer when i'm gone. I'm a gambling consultant and am very expensive, but I always have free advice.

I know she burned a dress that she said had paint on it, but the police don't know what was on it because they were never allowed to look at it.
Just guessing here, since they were told about the dress being burned and only had paint on it, maybe the dress might have been in her closest or chest of draws. I mean the police don't know whether or not she burned the dress because they werent there. They were only told about it. She might have had the dress in her room.
Like I said, I am just guessing at this.
