Ice Cream

Post by augusta »

I was in an ice cream store the other day when I came across a gallon of "Pumpkin" ice cream. I thought it's either gonna be really good or terrible. I took a chance. Wow - it's like pumpkin pie with whipped cream and no crust. They put pecans in it, too.

It's already all gone. My son loved it (he likes pumpkin pie). I'll have to go get some more in a day or so. It was made by Independent Dairy. I don't know if it's just in Michigan or not. Independent Dairy has one of the best ice creams in the state.

Well I'm hoping that I can find that around here. It sounds delicious. My kids like going to the Dairy Queen for ice cream, it's just about the only place to get ice cream sundae's and things like that. I notice during the summer months we have a terrible lack of ice cream shops here. I know that around Thanksgiving the one here has a pumpkin cheesecake flavored blizzard. It's really good. I'll be looking for that pumpkin flavored ice cream, thanks for the tip.

cream!

It is popular here in New England. I first had it at the Keene NH pumpkin festival.......great to visit, they hold the Guiness Book of World Records for the most lit Jack-o-lanterns.... www.pumpkinfestival.com

Last year at the festival I had Pumpkin Beer, Pumpkin bread, Pumpkin Soup and Apple Crisp with Pumpkin Ice Cream.
