Good grief! Susan, it was your birthday the other week! It appears the first sign of aging is upon me - or I've got banana peels on the brain, it's hard to say which. Hoping it was a joyous one!

Well, Susan, since a bunch of us overlooked your birthday, you don't have to count yourself a year older! (That IS the way it works, isn't it?) That's what you get for picking such a popular month to be born in. It's easy to get lost in the crowd.

With the other miscreants, I hope you had a very, very, very happy birthday!

Thank you, gang, thats so sweet. Its been quite a trying birthday week, that is, the week leading up to my birthday. Old friends have been calling with birthday wishes and letting me in on things going on in their lives and looking to me to be strong for them and a shoulder to cry on, its been very hard. One of my friend's mother has currently gone blind, she is a fellow Leo, the doctors aren't quite sure whats causing it. Another friend is going through a domestic partnership breakup which somehow is like a divorce, my girlfriend just received papers and needs to get an attorney. Etc, etc, etc.

But, otherwise, our birthday was great! Find food, friends, wonderful gifts, it was the perfect day. And.......my brother has finally relented, hes okay with it, so now I can share our age! We hit the big 4-0 this year. Funny, I don't feel all grown up. Does anyone know when thats supposed to happen, or, does it ever?

 Thanks, Kat. Yeah, I like Edisto's idea, forgotten birthday, you get to forget about adding a year. Yoiks, I'm almost as old as Emma was when the murders happened, I can remember when I was Lizzie's age of 32 and thinking about going through all of that.

Thanks again! Believe it or not, we are both still receiving birthday cards and have been cautioned to be on the lookout for more! Three weeks of celebrating a birthday is fine by me!
