I noticed....
I was on a road trip today with a friend of mine and on the way home I could tell which cars had the same radio station on that I did when "Born to be wild" came on.....
They all sped up.
They all sped up.

I noticed a comedian on TV talk about pets.
He said his friends with pets are all gooey over them and want to know why he doesn't like pets. It's not that he doesn't like pets- he just doesn't believe in keeping "wild animals" in an apartment.
When the pet-lover argues back that "But my pet LLLOOVVES ME!"
His reply?
"Oh, Yea?.....Open the door......"

I just looked up and noticed a HUGE SPIDER on the wall in front of me. It was the biggest spider I have ever seen. It was at least the size of this diagram I made. I grabbed my notebook and hit it, while in shock! I had to chase it! EEEWWW

Those spiders like to hide in shoes, clothes, sheets, etc. That's nothing Kat.
Years ago I was cleaning out my garage. I squated down in front of my work bench to pull a box out from underneath. I grabbed the bottom edge of the facia board and felt something soft and mushy between the end of my middle finger and the board. I thought it was a ball of sap but when I stuck my head under to look I saw the biggest Black Widow spider I have ever seen in my life! I mean this mamma was a porker! Her body was the size of a grape. I'm very thankful that she had been facing the back side of the board. It was her back I had touched. If she had been facing the other way she would have nailed me big time.
I was at a yard sale looking at an intake manifold. As I put my hand down over the bore holes I felt something soft against my palm. Before I could react, this huge, black, hairless spider came crawling out between my fingers! I shook it off and some 80lb. lady came up saying; "Oh, don't hurt him." She picked that spider up and put it on the back of her hand, petting it. I nearly had a s**t fit!!

Tracy, do you really have a pet tarantula???? I held one once and then it started to crawl up my arm and I screamed for the owner to get it off me! She thought it was hysterical until I screamed that I would squish her bug if she didn't get it off me. She finally relented. Yick. I don't think I will ever do that again.

Yes...that is my classroom tarantula. I was petrified when I got my first one, but I ended up really liking them. They aren't exactly the kind of pet you can take for walks or teach tricks to, but they are fun, and they are VERY easy to care for.
Audrey...be nice, or I will come to your house and stay for a whole weekend !

EEEWWW. I wish I could like bugs.
But I really can't stand those sucker frogs!
Recently I was out back at night moving the sprinkler. I grabbed the doorknob to come back in the house and grabbed something soft and squishy! It was a damn sucker frog ON MY DOORKNOB! I mean- Really!

I screamed and shook out my hand, and then came in and washed and washed and washed...
Also recently, I just had a feeling one was lurking outside that same door- but I had to go out back. As soon as I opened the door one jumped in! I've found that if I react before I can think to flip out, it is easier. I grabbed a nearby roll of paper towels and smacked it. It stunned him and I edged past him, opened the door and scooped him outside.
THEN I collapsed- but at least I didn't have to call the calvary.
I just found one in my mailbox. This one was HUGE! Luckily Stef was coming over- this was 2 Sundays ago. She likes frogs and I asked her to get this one out of my mailbox. She did, but even she screamed. There's something about not knowing which way they'll jump! They sometimes just jump right at you- and that is just gross and crazy!
I go barefoot and have almost stepped on snakes in my yard. I seem to have a second sense when a snake is around. One time I literally froze midstep, while barefoot- out front in the grass - I didn't see a snake but I stopped- and sure enough my next step would have been on him! That happens in the spring in black snake mating season. They come to my back yard to mate. At least they have since this house was built in 1965, but I don't see them every year- but then I don't go looking...
When we lived in Cocoa Beach a while ago, I went to grab my bike from the carport and as I was preparing to get on it, I noticed a snake wrapped around the handlebars. I called my older brothers and they got it off and put it into a paper bag. We took it up the street and let it go. We came home and looked it up in the encyclopedia and it was a water moccasin!
So yes, it is a wild'nwooley place I live!

Well, look on the bright side, Audrey. The station could have been playing "A Slow Boat To China."
