Fall River Five Cents Saving Bank's 150th anniversary

Post by nbcatlover »

I had read this on the web, but it had slipped my mind until today's edition of the Sunday Standard-Times featured an article on the bank's anniversary in the Business section.

Beth David's article starts:
It's a traveling birthday party for a 150-year-old institution, and even Lizzie Borden's ghost is part of the celebration.
The bank has artifacts from its history traveling from branch to branch throughout the area. One of the draws is Lizzie Borden's signature card as a bank depositor. A picture of a former bank president, Leontine Lincoln (Victoria Lincoln's grandfather) with U. S. President Howard Taft, taken in 1911, is also part of the display.
