Vacation time approaches

Post by Bob Gutowski »

I'l be away from the Board-en until next Wednesday - we're flying to Canada tomorrow. We'll be seeing Calgary, Banff, and Lake Louise.

Wait, Bob, I'll be ready in 10 minutes!

Banff is a beautiful place. It's Jane Seymour's favorite family hang out. Have fun up there, Bob.

Lucky Bob! When you return, you will have to watch "Springtime In The Rockies", a big, splashy Fox musical that takes place up there. What represents the Canadian Rockies more than Carmen Miranda? ;-)

How funny, Stu!

Yeah, we're back, and Canada was just amazingly beautiful. I kinda hated to come back to humid, dirty, exhilirating New York. Still, Lizzie the cat was really glad to see us, and she scolded us for about an hour. We'll be off to Provincetown, with a possible stop in Fall River on the Fourth on the way back, in four weeks from now.

You've picked a good time to go, Bob. Lovely area and a lot of nice people. Try to get to Jasper, too. Had an unexpectedly great time there!

Funny story: I was sent up to that area on business a number of years ago at the end of April. I was so excited, and I really wanted to see Lake Louise. Got there and there was just so much snow! Was walking round and round the Chateau looking for the lake. Finally I stopped and asked its location. The person looked surprised and said "You're standing on it." It was frozen solid then covered by snow. Had a fantastic buffet at Chateau Lake Louise though, and saw a moose!
