I staid the night for shelter at a farm behind the mountains, with a mother and son - two "old-believers." They did all the talking...

Yes, Doug, today is the big day. Thank you for the birthday wishes guys, they're much appreciated, its been an odd birthday. My fiance is out of town helping a friend move, my twin is on vacation in Santa Cruz, and my friends are all busy with stuff, so, I have to wait until this weekend to celebrate my birthday.
But I did go out to dinner last night with a girlfriend of mine, our usual Tuesday girls night out. I got a free bottle of saki from our server when she heard it was my birthday and free dessert at Starbucks later on. There really are some very nice people in the world, the Forum gang is definitely included in that statement!
Shelley, those cupcakes look magnificent and I'm sure taste even better!

Thanks all for the birthday wishes!! Ah, the weekend is drawing closer, I can almost smell and taste kek coming my way. I wonder what kind it will be this year? And I always get to share in my twin brother's kek too.

Awww, Sherry, you make me blush. Thank you two for the continued b-day wishes. I still don't know where I want to go to dinner yet, but, need to decide soon. I have to keep in mind some of the people that will be attending, theres a lactose intolerant, a gluten allergy, 2 vegetarians, 3 dieters, and a partridge in a pear tree. But, I am so looking forward to it!
