Parallel Lives

Post by Roy Nickerson »

Any word on a publishing date for Parallel Lives? Thought it was due for release before the end of the year, but the FRHS page has not been updated since Sept. 16. They seem to be moving with glacial slowness.

Yes RN:

I'm afraid we will be waiting a little longer.

Facts, newly found details, and accounts are being discovered as the book is being assembled. The book is actually growing as new information, first not expected to be included, is uncovered.

Thus, working out all these freshly uncovered particulars, outlining and gathering them, has extended the length of the book and added additional chapters.

I too was hoping for a pre-Christmas release, but this will not happen.

The new approximate date is sometime early spring.

I will be sure to pass on your concern and anticipation. I find it very important for the FRHS to give its public an approximate date. It is my opinion that perhaps the announcement about the release of a book on Lizzie Borden was made too early. Though the excitement of its release has dwindled a bit, the desire to acquire it has not, and I can't wait to own a copy

From the way it looks now, I can safely say the release may be sometime after March.

There have also been hints that there may be a is a sumptuous limited hardcover edition for collectors.

So, like you I will wait.

Until then though, I'm off to have some Ben & Jerry's.......... Heathbar Crunch.

Ditto on the Christmas present to self :-? However, the news that more information will be added is terrific - sounds like this will be one worth waiting for!

Now, if I could just track down a copy of Rebello that fits my budget, I'll have a "replacement" Christmas present
Really, I don't know - I am away so much myself.... L.A. Borden

Thanks for the update, mb. The new additional information sounds exciting, for sure. I'm sure it will be well worth the wait.

Are there any more reasonably priced copies of Lizzie Borden: Past and Present? Are there any updates on the release of Paralell Lives? I still haven't got my Christmas present to my self! I am seriously considering paying $350.00-plus dollars for the Rebello book.
