I was remembering how weird I always thought Lizzie's eyes were and I remembered the movie star Meg Foster and how startling her eyes were, so I compared them. This is what people probably saw when they looked at Lizzie. Meg's eyes are described as steel gray.

She could almost play Lizzie.

They both have penetrating stares. That picture of Lizzie taken on the porch always unnerves me.

Yes the porch picture is strange.
I have the magnet on my fridge. (There are only 2 on the front of my fridge- that one, and one for my local library!)

Lizzie's body seems out of balance- one shoulder and hip higher than the other. Her mother, Sarah, had a spine problem, and I've wondered if Lizzie did too? That could be painful and an occasion warranting medication for pain...?
