This is an interesting article:

Personally, I've never understood the price people are willing to pay for bottled water.

My only sin is the prepared veggies.

I get free texting.

Always bring your own stuff to the movies (backpacks are good).

Make gourmet coffee @ home & bring it in a thermos/thermal mug.

Boiled &/or home filtered water & your own refillable bottle.

Always ask for generic drugs.

I don't go to hotels as a rule, so no minibar for me. Ditto movies there.

Rarely drink wine, but you can find really good ones for a reasonable price if you experiment.

I make my own greeting cards a lot. What are computers for? Plus they're far more personal.

I have about 10 yrs experience now of being broke --- it's amazing how much you can save/avoid paying for if you get creative!!!

Tk, you should write your own book! With a title: 10 years of experience being broke: how to live now like then.
