This is a GREAT site for other cases as well.

YES Harry: Test was too easy. (First Question was not 100 per cent correct)

There were 9 questions and most pupils on this site will ace the test in short order........but still fun.

I suggest we come up with our own 9 question test and ask questions with a little more challenge, one which will hold up to the savvy scholars on this site, LAB.

Yes, Diana, there are plenty of cases on the site to explore.

The ID TV channel is pretty good too. This week is "Black Widow" week, wives who kill their husbands.

They had a case on last night of a woman who used a hatchet (stolen from Home Depot) on her husband. 16 blows with the hatchet and 21 stab wounds to the back with a knife. Another case where a large number of hatchet blows seemed to be required.

I suppose the Home Depot Hatchet Lady was convicted? Mixed methods deserve conviction.

It had a strange outcome. At first she was convicted of first degree. On appeal it was lowered to second degree. The prosecution then filed an appeal to vacate the second degree and it was restored back to first degree. She had claimed physical abuse.

This couple had 2 adult sons. One testified for the defense, one for the prosecution. One claimed he never saw any abuse, the other said he did.

Funny thing is she returned the hatchet back to the store. I guess she claimed she lost the receipt. Interesting way to get rid of the evidence.

Bet one of the sons was involved--she chopped and he stabbed(or vice versa).
