Update on Parallel Lives??

Has anyone received an update regarding a possible publication date for Parallel Lives? The last I heard, it was to be published spring 2010.

Yes, I can provide the update for you.

Parallel Lives is nearing completion. Late in the writing two important collections were located and had to be included. One part in about the middle of the book and the other at the end, in the final chapter.

So the writing and type setting continues.

I think they think this year, perhaps in the Fall. Definitely this year, though.

I don't like making a new thread when I know there is one out there somewhere that will do just fine. It seems so waste full to do so.

Any news on when Parallel Lives may be ready.

They're waiting for a proof to be returned. They'll probably tell us more on the facebook site for the FRHS.

I have to be honest. I don't think we will live to see this book published. It will come out the same day the Robinson papers are unsealed

You're welcome, Diana. It took me ages to get up the nerve to join FB, and I just recently decided to live on the edge and do eet! LOL I love the pictures everyone posts there. As far as news of Parallel Lives they still have some work to do but it's getting closer according to today's update. From what I remember there are to be some corrections of errors, a few chapters still to be indexed, and some finishing features to be decided upon for the cover and endpaper. Can hardly wait!

I was wondering if I'd live long enough to see the book too, Steveads, and was losing hope and now that you mention the Robinson papers my will to live just got a whole lot stronger. Wouldn't that be something! I want to believe that there is a smoking gun in those papers despite what we've heard.

Patsy I agree on those Robinson papers. If there was really nothing there, why protect it so aggresively? I protect my valuables, not my trash.

Was Parallel Lives supposed to be out in June? I've been in school so long I've lost touch with the world, but now that school is out, I am looking for my summer reading!

I'm really looking forward to reading PL, whenever it comes out-I have yet to start reading any LB books-between my summer classes and full-time job, I just haven't had the time.

When my classes end in August, I plan on starting some LB reading before fall semester begins.
