recovering buried clothes at night?

Post by Marg »

Hi, I know I read SOMEWHERE (ugh, hate it when this happens!) that the buried clothes were removed under cover of night, that a party of men went through the neighbor's yard (maybe Crowe's or Chagman's?) so as not to attract attention of the crowds.
Does that ring a bell or did I dream that up?
If it's true, could you direct me to the source?
I'm trying to get a timeline of exact dates/particulars of the times the clothes were buried and dug up.
Thanks!
