Microsoft has a website called Terraserver which allows you to enter your street address and it will show you a photo of your street from space. I believe it only covers the U.S.A.

Boy, great minds think alike! I just found a service of my county appraiser's office online where I can get an ariel view of my house, and I took a desktop photo of it! It's a photo of my roof and gives my lot lines and measurements!
