"At Hame in My Ain Country"

Some food for thought.
It is interesting that when the mantle carving is put into Google with the exact wording and spelling only one link comes up.
The Child Ballards were compiled by a Boston professor who was contemporary of Lizzie. It is not far fetched to think she may have read this
and the content gives rise to some interesting ideas about the personal meaning of the mantle carving to Lizzie. I know the standard assumption is that it came from the Allen Cunningham poem but I wonder if it might have had a different source and meaning.

hello-myfirst post. why cant i get access to "privvy" section? what special rights access is required?

i need to read up more before posting responses but i have been studeying this case for many years, been to FR, stayed at trhe B&B, have3 all the books and compendium books. i believe lizzie did it. i dont believe morse had anything to do withy it but came to believe lizzie did it.

i dont think hilliard papers will reveal much new unless bookkeeper/agent cook told marshall ajb was in factt preparing a will aned maybe lizzaie heard about that. excuse my typing polease. i'll try to do better.

this is a remarkable site for all the lizzie material in one place. gallery took a long time to load on my pc.

you opeopkle are all well informed on this case. i may be a "newbie" but not ihn knowledg3e and surely no one here is a newbie in knowledge of the case.

aboutt the privvy: whats the deal?

Welcome hhtiles,

Seems like it's my night to welcome folks. There is a minimum number of posts you have to rack up before you get into the privy. (25, I think.) It shouldn't take too long for you to do that.
