Hi Curryong, thanks for the welcome! I am a big fan of the Prince Albert coat for the deed as otherwise I think it would have been hanging up on a hook. And Lizzie's gaggle of blue dresses makes me think she thought they wouldn't miss one before the inventory was taken. The confusion on the dress has definitely always been lucky! But then Lizzie was a pretty lucky person in general, all in all. :)

hello phineas :)

i'm a fan of the prince albert, too. although i also think it's possible lizzie nicked one of the 'waterproofs'/raincoats and wore it when she killed abby. they were kept in the closet, not 15 feet from lizzie's bedroom, and even if abby were in the guest room tidying up, she wouldn't have thought a thing about lizzie fetching something from the closet.

good point about the gaggle of blue dresses. looks like she was right, too. while i think it was the burned bedford cord, there was so much confusing testimony about what she wore (including bridget, mysteriously getting amnesia on what lizzie wore the day of the murders, yet recalling perfectly well what she was wearing the day before), it's difficult to be certain.
