Oh no, absolutely not. I would be very happy for Lizzie. Compared to the innocence of a person and the discovery of the truth, the surviving of a legend is nothing for me. Every memeber of the forum is beautifully saying that we are here to find the truth, right?

And then, this world is plenty of other legends to explore...It seems that MH370 is very sadly becoming one of them.

Very true about Flight 370 - I do feel bad for the families. Not knowing has to be the hardest thing of all.

Curryong, Franz and PossumPie: All of you made very good points. I guess I was thinking about cases like Jeffery Dahmer, Ed Gein and Ted Bundy. We very seldom hear much about these murder cases any more. Every now and then we still hear about the Manson family when their paroles come up or during the time when Susan Atkins passed away, but there really isn’t a forum which discusses any of these murder cases. None that I know of anyway.

Right, when a case goes "unsolved" it is explored for a long time. Lindburgh baby case, JonBenet Ramsey, etc hold our interest b/c they will probably never be solved.

Yes, there are cases that live on in the public mind, aren't there, while others fade away. With the Lindbergh baby case there was controversy for years, wasn't there, regarding Bruno Hauptmann's guilt? Even before his execution doubts were being expressed. Most writers nowadays believe he did it.

If Lizzie was found guilty, (although I don't think she would have been hanged,) there might well have been that sort of debate, allowing lots of people to write lots of books!

There are a lot of cases unsolved, or officially solved but the conclusion doesn't convince everyone. But IMO the Borden case is by far the most fascinating: the criminal place is there, almost intact (hélas the original barn despeared), you can visit every room of the house or even pass a whole night lying on the very place where Abby was lying dead. It seems we know many things of the case but meanwhile many other things remain uncertain. It seems improbable that an intruder could enter but meanwhile Lizzie's guilt can't be proved!
I know some other cases and the forums but I am only a registered member here. In the Borden case there are (only) 2 victims, much less than Jack Ripper or Zodiac killer, or many others, but the Borden case is my number 1.
