Working with the county jail system for a little over 2 weeks has convinced me that the penal system makes little sense and it rampant with corruption.

The fact that they put death row inmates on suicide watches is a clear argument in favor of abolishing the archaic and cruel death penalty.

Without compassion there is no justice.

Personally I don't see imbueing justice with emotion.
Compassion is subjective, I think.
I think of justice as fairness.
Impartial equality, actually.

I worked as an RN in a men's prison dispensary for a year. The cruelties I saw from the guards towards the inmates were awful. I don't know how these people can live with themselves.

Very funny Mark, I do have a sense of humor!
My coffee-table book is martha's "Gardening" I have loved her for a long time. It is from the 70's
i think. Her picture on the front on the book is like
a model, yet no makeup just a gal with sunburn face from working out in the garden.

She is an attractive woman. A little on the older side for me but attractive nonetheless.

Oh reforms- Yes Please!
People treated humanely, absolutely.
The "Justice Is Blind" Saying is more like what my expression of justice is.
Equal across the board.

Just imagine if Nancie, Martha and I went out for lunch.... We would be the hottest women in the place and if things didn't go just the way we wanted them...

Well... Being French I do not like to use the term "Berserker"... But you get the drift!

George Carlin said it best about Martha Stewart ..

"Boy, I feel a lot safer now that she's behind bars. O.J. Simpson and Kobe Bryant are still walking around; Osama Bin Laden too, but they take the one woman in America willing to cook, clean, and work in the yard, and haul her ass off to jail."

He's also recently admitted he's still a drunk.

I have seen bits and pieces of that...but not an entire episode yet. Audrey could probably win that one too...LOL.
