Double standard.

Post by Franz »

I notice a double standard in the discussion of the forum, especially when the topic regards uncle John. A double standard behaviour might be found in other topics. Since Morse, as all of you know, is my major interest, so I take him as an example.

Yes, just an example.

We have two FACTS: 1) There is no evidence that Morse had a motive to kill Andrew and Abby. 2) There is no evidence that some one had informed Morse about the location of Andrew's body.

A number, even --- if I dare say --- a great number of the forum members, think: 1) there is non evidence that Morse had a motive to kill Andrew and Abby, and therefore, he had no motive to kill them. 2) there is no evidence that some one had informed Morse about the location of Andrews' body, yes, but the lack of evidence means nothing, he must have been infomed somehow by someone: the witness, you know Franz, didn't testify all they have done, have seen, have heard, etc.

Double standard. Absolutely double standard, for me.

Indeed I agree with you: Morse must have been informed somehow by some one. But for me, most probably, he had been informed by his accomplice, or by that mysterious call, or during his retourn journey to Borden house.
"Mr. Morse, when you were told for the THIRD time that Abby and Andrew had been killed, why did you pronounce a "WHAT" to Mrs. Churchill? Why?"

I haven't caught up on your posts regarding Uncle John but I'm not sure how this relates to a double standard?

I agree with Mystery. I don't understand how you can consider our differences of opinion, a double standard.

Full Definition of DOUBLE STANDARD

1 bimetallism

2 a set of principles that applies differently and usually more rigorously to one group of people or circumstances than to another; especially : a code of morals that applies more severe standards of sexual behavior to women than to men
