Yes Twins:
I'm not saying that we can't talk about religion altogether.
Perhaps someone wants to express an experience they had with a certain church or faith. Like when I had to bow and kiss Mother Superior's ring every time she called us to the front of the class. Or Father Rezendes making a little boy of 7 years of age stand outside in the pouring rain because I spoke in class, then send me home to change because I was dripping on the classroom floor, but making me clean it up before I left.
And all this has what to do with Lizzie? Not much, but we are not trying to convert people here and stories such as these have more to do with growing up than with worship.
Yes, there's "talking" religion then there is "ranting" religion.
To post the ideal religious conversation it should have a connection to Lizzie Borden, her times, city, and it's people. And that means Catholicism or Protestantism. The two major religions in Lizzie's world.
Oh yes, then there was Sister Florencia, who punished me by making me stand in front of the class with my arms stretched out, palms up, and placing a book in each hand. Issuing constant warnings not to drop my arms. I remember how fortunate I felt, since the leather strap hung on the wall by Sister's desk. It could have been worse.
