As for the Borden family reading Frankenstein, I can’t see Abby having the time to read such a book, and I’m sure Andrew would have thought it was a waste of his time and money. Emma may have read Frankenstein, but I really can’t see Lizzie having any interest in it. If I recall correctly, Lizzie was not into this type of reading material; she was intrigued with books about Scotland. Of course, this is just my opinion.
