I'd like feedback on it.

Do you know what would be so ironic that I would laugh out loud? If Lizzie Borden was a ghost hunter with Nance O'Neill, based upon this experience. With all the different paranormal groups who spend years at the Second St house talking to the walls, that would be priceless information. Yours has the quality of a ghost story told around the fire pit. I like it so much that I was kind of sad that it was over so quickly. I think I've enjoyed every article of yours that I've read. I wonder if Nance ever thought that in the 21st century people would find her through her relationship, whatever it was, with Lizbeth Borden. I knew nothing of Nance O'Neill until I discovered the Rest of the Story.

Rolie Polie, I'm so glad you enjoyed my brief article. What else of mine have you read? Have you read any of my books?

I haven't seen any of your books, but so far, there are quite a few articles in the Hatchet that I have read with great interest. As for Lizzie, for most of my life I only knew the Montgomery movie, a Haunted History TV show, and the doggerel. I may have seen her photo in an American History book when I was a kid. I suddenly discovered her while sick with a very early bout of what I'm sure was COVID. It was around November 2019 and I was knocked out and home. I liked Fresh Look at Frankenstein since I've always thought that Mary was more than a little prophetic about the morality and ethics of biological Science in the 20th and 21st centuries. I enjoyed the one about Elizabeth Montgomery who was one of my favorite actresses - loved Bewitched. It's so funny that she and Agnes Moorhead both played Lizzie at completely different times in their careers. The Bible Readings at Lizzie's funeral was great. I like the articles that present a 3D woman, not just the ubiquitous articles discussing a phantom EVP or a bunch of crazy falsities. When I read The Character of Andrew Borden, I had never before heard either theory presented. I don't think that I believe the incest theories, but boy was the murderer angry at both victims. You can't do that kind of damage without rage. If we could just find the thing that connects "Billy Borden" to the murder; then, that betrayal rage would be a similar expression, I think, as an incest victim. Sometimes I think that Lizzie's connection to this murder is as tenuous as Billy's, as far as evidence connecting her to it. Emma's Final Home was interesting too. She just fell off of the face of the Earth- and for good reason. Wish there was more to know about her, but it's hard to find. The Women's Christian Temperance Union was also interesting. I'm very interested in Lizzie's pre-trial interests. They say a lot about her. I was interested in hearing someone say that there was a Speakeasy in Lizzie's Maplecroft basement. Which reminds me that one of the most fascinating articles was The World as Lizzie Saw it Change. I'd like to be a fly on the wall listening to her tell the stories of what she experienced and did in her life that were completely unrelated to the murders. Lizzy and Animals was eye opening. I had no idea she gave so much to the animal shelter or that it still receives money from her gift. I also took your reviews into consideration before purchasing a Borden book. I'm making my way slowly through all your articles. Thanks for all the research and thought that went into them.

And thank YOU for your compliments. I'm severely disabled and unemployable so compliments are very, very much appreciated. I haven't written a book on Lizzie but I have true crime ebook entitled "Suffer Little Children" that can be found at BuzzwordBooks.com
I also have regular books (as well as an ebook of literary criticism) that are at amazon.com

I watched the youtube vid on Nancy O'Neil and the ghost. I find it interesting but I wonder was this before or after her association with Lizzie/Lizbeth. I wonder if the whereabouts of the white house is known now and I wonder if she did know Lizzie and told her the story of the ghost. I find actors often have experienced ghosts, they are sensitive is what is said. It would be really interesting to know what Lizzie thought of ghosts and if she herself were sensitive.

Do you think there are really ghosts in the Maplecroft house?

No, I'm not near. I lived in Georgia for many years. I went to Georgia Vocational Rehabilitative Services in hopes of getting a job but, even with their help, remained unemployed. My landlady was evicting me from my room. My Dad, who lives in Bolivar, Missouri, took me in last year so I wouldn't be homeless.

I read that the large property that Nance O'Neill purchased is still there but is now owned by a religious order. I also wonder about Lizzie and her understanding or interest in the afterlife or ghosts. She lived during that enormous spiritualism movement from the Civil War to World War I, and must have known people who were interested or participated in it. At some point, I read- and can no longer find it- that while she was in jail, a journalist interviewed her, who later became a big presence in the spiritualism movement. I've been looking for that again in the existing and thoughtful information here, there, and yon for a year.
