That reminds of of the Lincoln-Kennedy similarities. Some of them are true...some unsubstantiated and a bit exaggerated.

Well house then, and corresponding angle to the barn today, only 10 feet approximately further back than in 1892- and it's an airconditioner in place of the well house.

After a super warm winter up until about February 4th, the recent cold blast has even the birds confused. The ground is like iron, the ponds are finally frozen, and at the moment wind chills are about minus 2! Florida is looking better and better.

The winds have made it a bit unbearable up here. When I take my walk
I sometimes go up to the house there and talk w/ Dee
but it's too cold to do it right now. Hope to see you soon shelley.
I'm planning on booking another night at the house soon. Say hi to Dee for me

Hi Jeff- yes it is even too cold for our cemetery rambles. We are thinking of putting up thick velvet drapes at the windows next winter. Lace is just not that draft-resistant. I am glad to be home this weekend huddled up by the fire. I haven't seen Dee for quite awhile myself. I used to feel sad for Bridget all the way up on the third floor, but actually, it was really warmer up there last weekend than the first floor- heat rising and all- so maybe the poor thing was not frozen. I would bet it was hot in the summer though with only that one east window and no cross ventilation!

Well, Dee is a member here after all- maybe she will say hello all on her own! Hi Dee!

The "bahn" shining in crisp green paint early in the morning. The trees behind are just beginning to bud for Spring.
