PossumPie, I don't understand you well. Andrew was killed about one hour and a half after Abby was killed. During this one hour and a half, Morse might have returned home from one moment to another. The killer, Lizzie or an intruder (without any link to Morse), how to do if this had happened?
The only and unique person, IF there were really one, who could have been certain that the two murders could have been accomplished before Morse returned home should be... Morse himself (and of course, Lizzie or the intruder, being either one or another the accomplice of Morse).
If not, we must speculate that Lizzie, or an intruder, had run the risk that Morse would have returned home at any moment. The intruder could have even ignored the presence of Morse, if Morse had nothing to do with the murder.
