I'd Like To Thank...

I’d like to say how thankful I am to the members of the Academ – whoops...wait a minute, that’s the wrong speech! (There will be a slight pause whilst I shift gears here.)

Maestro, if you would…about 30 seconds of Chaplinesque “chase music” please. Oh, right - absolutely – hey Sam, cue up…crashing sounds, a thunderbolt...and a tire squeal, please. Hold it, wait…wait a minute – what do you mean ‘a woman screaming’??!!! Isn’t that...a bit much, yathink? Nope…never mind, I see what you mean perfectly. Let’s go with that.

Okay, places please…and…action!

There! Just wanted to take a minute here to thank everyone for their kind words, thoughts, messages and other such sentimental expressions I’ve received marking the occasion of my first contributions to The Hatchet. As the old song says, little things mean a lot – and they truly do. I'm pleased you've enjoyed them.

There is more to come.

I was I must admit particularly pleased and honored to share the “debut spotlight” with the youngest contributor, Miss Naugle of ye Granite State so famed in song and story. To her I say “Congratulations, kiddo – you did a wonderful job! Encore! Now, now... never you mind about the blushing business, either…you earned it!” (Talent must run through her veins like sap at sugar time.)

Again, my humble thanks to all. I now return you to our regular program.
