That's an intriguing quote in that article:
" I would never be able to lie the way many criminals seem to do. I would be sent to jail forever. Or worse."

Lizzie's friends supposedly had said, in support of her innocence, that if she did kill, Lizzie would have been incapable of lying about it!
I've always thought that statement was a bit disingenuous.
But then earlier I had posted that I could never get away with lying about something like that.

I purchased a copy of the of the Amityville Horror remake, and in one of the 'special feature's' offered on the DVD they interviewed the man who had been the chief of police at the time of the Defeo murders. He stated that Ronald Defeo seemed too calm and collected at the time of the murders. He said it didn't seem to bother him that much, or similar words to that effect. His words reminded me of what the police said about Lizzie at the time.
