I finally got around to reading these. Hadn't seen this batch, although I do usually watch Jay. The "Slappey & Sadd" one reminds me of a business that once operated in Manteo, N. C., near my favorite beach. It was an automobile dealership named "Hassel & Creef." The "Creef" part sounds enough like "grief" that I would definitely avoid buying a car there!
(Incidentally, Andy Griffith owned a home in Manteo. It does indeed resemble the fictional Mayberry.)
"To lose one parent...may be regarded as misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness."

of Being Earnest," 1895)
There was a law group in Wausau, Wisconsin where I grew up- the names were Low and Crooks. I thought that was great. The joke in town at the time was that they were looking for a partner whose name would be Down, so they could then be Low, Down and Crooks.
