Lizzie a teacher??

Post by DWilly »

Went over to ebay to check if there was anything new on Lizzie. Sure enough someone is offering up a book that they claim was given to their mother and signed by Lizzie. This is what the person says about the book and what is inscribed in the book:

BOOK SIGNED BY BORDEN. (BORDEN, LIZZIE.) STRETTON, HESBA. Jessica's Mother. Signed and Inscribed by Lizze Borden on the front free endpaper, to Bessie Tibbs, "For the best lessons and contributions during the last quarter of 1902. With love from her teacher." 8vo, publisher's cloth, worn, front cover almost detached, loss to the backstrip; interior a bit toned. [Fall River], 11 January 1903 [inscription]

Oops, sorry about that. As one of Gilda Radner's characters use to say..."Never mind."
