Have fun with it, Snokks. Let us know what you think of it. I don't think I ever heard of that title.

It's probably the "Notable Trials" edition of Pearson.
I staid the night for shelter at a farm behind the mountains, with a mother and son - two "old-believers." They did all the talking...

Sounds right!

Pearson, Edmund. The Trial of Lizzie Borden. New York: Doubleday, 1937. Rpt. as The Trial of Lizzie Borden by Edmund Pearson; Notable Trials Library Edition, Foreword by Alan Dershowitz. Delran, NJ: Gryphon, 1991.
Important work that includes great quantities of trial testimony, not generally found elsewhere, but criticized for his one-sided approach which favored Lizzie as the killer.

There was an edition published circa 1964 with the essay by Gerald Gross. Gross claims Lizzie did Abby while Bridget was outside, and Bridget did Andy while Lizzie was outside. A rationalization that makes sense for those who know little about this case.
It was Farmer William in the Bedroom with the Hatchet.
