Looks like Big Brother is coming to town. Approval for expenditures to put up surveillance cameras has been approved in four locations around town, including the Corky Row area

Too bad there were none on Second Street in 1892!

Bitter cold here today- a high at 10 a.m. of only 13 degrees with windchills making it feel in the minus.

The Industrial Park Asscociation is providing the funding for the cameras as a thanks to the city for keeping a proposed strip club out of the industrial park.
The city spent over $1,000,000 fighting the strip club and only kept it out of the Industrial Park. Now Fall River is being sued by a local attorney because Fall River's new Nude Club Zone includes his residential property.
If you had to have a strip club in your city, wouldn't it make sense to have it in an industrial park type setting instead of 10 yards from the bus stop this attorney's daughter waits at?
But hey, we now have $50,000 for survaillence cameras to watch supposed criminals in low income neighborhoods.
I guess that it's worth the trade off to have strip club patrons cruise thru residential neighborhoods past school bus stops. So long as the Moral Police controlling not only Fall River's Industrial Park but also city hall don't have to watch the strippers report to work after most Industrial park businesses are already closed.

I'm trying to picture strippers in 13 degrees and think they should just keep their clothes on- solves everything!
