Lizzie Borden Bed and Breakfast Web Site

Post by Richard »

hi guys, as some of you may know, I re-did the Lizzie Borden Bed and Breakfast web site for Donald and Lee-Ann.

http://www.lizzie-borden.com

Some people have already pointed out some spelling errors and factual mistakes. If anyone notices any more errors, please don't hesitate to let me know.

And I could use some constructive feedback about the design. There's nothing carved in stone so changes could still happen. This is an on-going thing.

You may notice that the shopping cart is gone. That will re-appear within a week. We lost the programming and the database with the old web master, and I'm currently rebuilding it.

You may also notice I put Google Ads up at Donald's request. In the first few days, the Google Ads are not always relevant to the content of the site, so right now it may be sputtering out random public service announcements or coffee companies in South America, or life insurance ads. So bear with me on this one.

If you click on any of the Google Ads, you generate income for Donald and Lee Ann, so I'm not supposed to encourage anyone to click on them (oops!)

Actually I'm not suppose to encourage people ON the site, but this is NOT the site...ahem!

So feel free to criticize, applaud, discuss. any constructive criticism that we mutually agree on can be passed along to Lee Ann and we can all work together to improve it.

Richard,

Both of the Google ads I saw were for background checks. Rather appropriate!
I've met Kat and Harry and Stef, oh my!
(And Diana, Richard, nbcatlover, Doug Parkhurst and Marilou, Shelley, "Cemetery" Jeff, Nadzieja, kfactor, Barbara, JoAnne, Michael, Katrina and my 255 character limit is up.)

Richard, I LOVE the re-done B&B web site!!! You really made it an attractive site; awesome job - Kudos.

The design is very pleasing to the eye; it is definitely a improvement. The Features section is wonderful - interesting and informative. No errors noted.

I asked Donald and Lee Ann about booking a room through the web site, but it's a little difficult to maintain. The process really can't be automated. But perhaps in time we can develop something.

We are definitely putting a shopping cart back into the gift shop. I'm working on that tomorrow.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Let every Bordenite be vigilent in keeping the site error free!!
