It's still a small world...
Earlier today I was at the local DMV renewing my car registration and happened to be waiting next to a friendly guy. I noticed his accent and asked if he was from either New York or Massachusets. He was in fact from Taunton, so we struck up a conversation about Lizzie and the B&B. Said he had driven by there several times but not yet visited, and on his next trip home, he's going to take his family for a visit there. He also told me a little joke about Somerset: What is the longest bridge in America? The Braga bridge, which connects Somerset and Portugal. Apparently that area has quite a few Portugese folks?

joke
kssunflower, I come from Swansea and that joke is 50 years old. The number of Portugese in Fall River has increased steadily for the past century. Fall River was primarily descentants of English and French Canadian ancestry, now I believe the number of Portugese in equal to or more than 50% of the population.
