Now that the bones have been positively identified as those of the missing child, I've been thinking, like the Borden case, that the accused woman either did it herself, or knew who did and approved of the act.

I keep thinking of the Ramsey case and the Eisenberg case (sp?). Both of those are unresolved- who knows if the Anthony case will be?

One thing- that Nancy Grace pushes a lot of misinformation- and that reminds me of Arnold Brown, actually.
If Lizzie was around now, and the Borden case was on the news, I wonder how Ms. Grace would cover it?!
Maybe create a tainted jury?

Likely the same way she's covered most such cases - mouth open and mind closed!

I hope whoever is arrested is given a fair trial but if they are guilty I want to see that person(s) hang. There is never a defense for murdering a three year old child. Never.

Nancy Grace is just a big loud mouth with a body stuck on it. A bull dozer who doesn't let the facts get in the way of a good roasting. Classless and tasteless in my opinion.

Perfect comment, Dough65oh! She's judge and jury with a nasty attitude against the guest commentators on her show. Jeesh - let them have their own opinions.

So, there was duct tape wrapped around the corpse's head, and evidence of a heart sticker placed on the tape over the mouth. According to my reading, little touches like that are indications that someone was trying to do something "nice" for the person he or she's murdered.

There was a chilling moment taken from the security cameras at prison, while Casey was having a talk with her parents and suddenly lost it, complaining that no one was listening to her.

Sociopath, or simply a bad day?

George Anthony is all over the news today (Friday).
He was missing and good ole Cindy called 911 again.
He was found in Daytona, and there was evidence of suicide notes. He's hospitalized at Halifax Hospital and is being evaluated by psychs.

As I've posted elsewhere, Daniel Webster had said *Suicide is confession* (and the true quote was posted by a member- thanks)- so now I am stymied! Is Caycee protecting him? Did he kill that little girl? They've not posed that question yet. The other thing that is so horrible is that I think it's possible Nancy Grace drove him over the edge- as a lawsuit against her in the case of Trenton Ducket's mother committing suicide after being on her show still is outstanding.

Nancy Grace has not been on TV overnight. Maybe she has been finally silenced?

I was watching that on TV this morning and was commenting to my husband about it. I think the stress has just gotten to be more than he can handle.

As a parent of 4 boys, if one of my kids was in the same situation, my first reaction would be disbelief that my child could so such a thing and I would WANT to believe in his innocence. Even with evidence piling up to the contrary, I would still NOT want to believe the worst about my own child. I would cling to the hope that there was huge mistake being made and my child would be proven innocent.

If things turned out the way they have in the Anthony case, I would be inconsolable over the fact that not only had my child apparently DONE what he was accused of, but that he would likely be spending the rest of his life in prison. The idea of one of my children spending a very long time in prison, or facing execution, would be more than I could endure. The idea of ending my life and not having to see my child go through what Casey Anthony will go through would become more and more preferable. I'm not sure I would actually go through with it, but I can see it becoming a way to escape my anguish.

Yes, as a parent, I can understand exactly how George Anthony may very well be feeling. As far as suicide being "confession", I have to disagree...many times it is merely an escape from what has become an unbearable situation.

As far as Casey protecting him, I doubt that. She seems so self absorbed that I'm sure she'd spill her guts if there had been anyone else involved.

I think it's just a case of a child gone bad, and a parent trying to endure a nightmare.

Thank you for the insight into a mother and her child.

Casey has been depicted here on the news as being very close to her dad. But not her mother.

It's a dad/daughter relationship I'm wondering about. That might have bled over into a dad/granddaughter relationship. As an evil thing, there's a chance that Cayce does not get on with her mother if there is a theory of incest. Then Cayce could be jealous of her own daughter with her father.

Since George Anthony knows that he and Cayce are close, his wanting to opt out of any responsibility and leaving the ladies in his life alone to handle things seems to me very weak and self-absorbed.
When the phrase *suicide is confession* is used- it is in cases of crime and in the context of crime against another- Webster of course being a proponent of the law.

Cayce could have been liberating herself of a child who held her back in her social life, but also determined her mother Cindy would never get Caylee, and so killed her in spite. (She had made the comment in her interrogation that why would she kill her child if she could just have handed her over to her mother to raise.) I think she is punishing her mother in some way.

There's a weird family dynamic going on here. Where is the brother Lee?

Apparently George is out of work and the family is broke from all this- but there's a flaw in his character somewhere to want to give up and give away his responsibilities in this matter.

If one or both of Cayce's parents are self-absorbed and/or narcissistic, then Cayce may have learned this in her home and/or gained that gene.

Kat, I agree with you about Casey and her mother. I think there is some kind of problem between Casey and her mother, probably longstanding, which made her determined to kill her own child rather than see her mother raise her.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
