Jeesh! My car remote keys suddenly wouldn't lock the car anymore. They could open it, open the trunk and blow the horn but just wouldn't lock it.
Brought it to the dealer where I bought it. Got it new in June 2005 so it's just my luck the 3 year warranty is over.
The price for the replacement key and spare are $70 each and to program them another $42 making a total of $182 for two lousy keys.
To top it off they only had one replacement key in stock and had to order another so I have to go back when it comes in.
Drat! That's my sad story for the day.

I know I ask perfection of a quite imperfect world

I totally understand Harry. I had a lever near the driver side that you would pull up & the trunk would open. And for some reason it affected the lock on the trunk. Well, they wanted to charge me at least $150 to replace it, plus they couldn't guarantee what labor would cost.
We bought the actual lock for about $50 and my friend put in the lock & connected the cable-----it took him about a whole 6 minutes to fix it!!!
