Has anyone else seen "Paul Blart, Mall Cop"? I saw it yesterday. I expected it to stink, but I love Kevin James and didn't want to miss something with him in it. I thought it'd probably be cheaper than buying the DVD later.

I was surprised! Kevin James was, as when I've always seen him, good. My husband and I were laughing all thru it. (Kevin James co-wrote it, which is a good sign.)

And there was no sex in it, and I don't remember any swearing. I so hate that, when your kids are small and they wanna see a movie but they gotta hear words we don't use at home so the movie can get a PG-13 rating and not a G that they think no one would want to see.

It was no 'Gone with the Wind', but who wants that out of Kevin James? It was very entertaining! :thumright:

I'm going to have to catch that one - have been thinking about it. Last weekend I saw Nicolas Cage's Knowing and did not care for it. The best movie I have seen in months, including The Reader, Milk, Slumdog, and Benjamin Button, is Mickey Rourke's The Wrestler. Yes, it's gritty and seedy, but will break your heart. I've already got a copy of the DVD I was so impressed.

Augusta, I so agree! This was a cute movie, and one I was happy to let my 11-year-old son see. And you're right, no sex. And the swear words were minimal. It's harder and harder to find kid-appropriate movies these days.

I was thinking about seeing "Knowing". It looked interesting from the commercials. Maybe now I'll wait till I can rent it . Thanks for the opinions on the movies, kssunflower.

Cheryl, that was the first movie I can remember in years seeing at the movies that I could comfortably take my kids to. (Except for like "The Grinch", and movies targeted for small children.)

I wish movies would go back to (and they closed the door ... Fade out.)
