Conficker Worm

I keep hearing about this Conficker worm that the experts feel will do something bad tomorrow. I tried downloading Microsoft's patch but it wouldn't show up in the list of critical patches so I guess I already have it downloaded. I hope. 
Any thoughts on this worm from the rest of you?
