Warwick, R.I. (just outside of Providence and about 30 minutes from Fall River) is reeling today over a hotel attack of a woman who had placed an ad on the popular EBAY-style site, Craig's List. I did not know too much about Craig's List, apparently you can advertise for anything on it and the buyer can opt to drive over to pick the item or service up personally. The buyer in this case is a killer and struck Wednesday night in Warwick and another time under the same circumstances in a Boston area hotel which resulted in murder. Surveillance cameras have recorded the same guy in both venues and are pretty sure he is the man. Scary! I think I will stick to EBAY. I've used CL in Georgia and here in KS to sell some items. I advertise for my Dad, who's an antique dealer. Just today at lunch, I was sitting in my car enjoying the nice weather and two gals nearby had met in the parking lot and were conducting a CL buyer's transaction. I've heard you can encounter some shady people, but I've been lucky.

The Craig's List killer- who they now think killed more than the two known women, was caught yesterday- six miles from my house. He was on his way to Foxwood Casino. Creepy. . .

It really IS creepy. And those things stick with one for years. When I was little, Ed Gein was doing his bizarre things near where I was raised. I still think about that. The other day someone came to my door who looked just like him, and I was totally freaked out the rest of the day. Obviously, I didn't answer the knock. When I was working as a young nurse in Wisconsin Richard Speck struck not too far away. When I was working a night shift at the Univ. of Wis. hospital in the psych ward Christine Rothschild was murdered right across the street. The police called me and asked if anyone could have escaped from my unit during the night. There were about five unsolved similar murders there during the next few years that were never solved. The Crime Library calls them the work of the "Capitol City Murderer." When I was living in San Francisco the Zodiac Killer was running around. Also, in the same time frame, there was a group called the Zebra Killers who were driving around shooting people at random in the city. I was working in a plasma center at the time on Mission Street. I found out later that I had taken blood from one of them. And the police found the car they had used stored in a garage just blocks from where I was working. Just when my husband and I were having our car serviced and getting ready to move from the area we heard sirens a few blocks away. It seems they had just discovered Patty Hearst and captured her. We moved to the New York City area and then had to worry about the Son of Sam running around our area. Just a few years ago I pumped gas crouched behind my car in the Washington DC area because the two snipers were popping people off everywhere. They were finally caught two miles from my son's house in Frederick, Md. I think I've had enough.

I didn't mean to offend you. I just meant that you never know where and when these people will pop up. There are so many psychopaths roaming about that we don't know about.

Actually, it seems quite clear to me that ANGEL is, in fact, a serial killer, as she is the one link between all of the events she listed. . .
