I thought this might be a nice little brain teaser.

Does anyone know who this woman is?

She had a rather sad ending which is what caught my attention a few years ago and I'm a sucker for a sad story. Anyone want to take a stab at it?

oh, she really looks familiar, but just cant think where I might have seen her. Can we get a hint?

Good try, stuartwsa, but it's not Dominique Dunne. Here is Dominique at the bottom. She also had a very sad end.

Here is a hint: This woman died a few years ago in a car wreck in Los Angeles.

Don't mean to disparage her, but the first woman looks creepy. Perhaps it's the pallor of her skin. Sort of like Liv Tyler, but know it's not her.

Here's the answer:

The name of the woman is Jennifer Syme.

She worked in the film business and was the girl friend of actor Keanu Reeves, the actor who starred in "Speed" with Sandra Bullock. They had a child together who died as an infant. In 2001 Jennifer was at a party at Marilyn Manson's house. She was driven home in the early hours of the morning and then got into her own car to head back to the party. On the way there she hit some parked cars and overturned. She died on impact as the car frame crushed much of her head. She was laid to rest next to her baby daughter. She was 28 years old.

I found the story very sad especially considering her young age. Not much is known about Jennifer. It's such a tragic story. She died much too young.
