Wylie, Texas: Murder By The Book with Sandra Brown.
Betty Gore got it by axe- became the book "Evidence of Love."
It's on now 1 a.m. Tru TV.
It's been on before-keep an eye out for it.
They show the body- sort of and the blood all over also.
Ms. Brown references the Borden murders by reciting the rhyme.
Here is a link to the site with blood on the fridge.

Thanks for the links and post, Kat. I think this was made into a movie starring Barbara Hershey as Candy (no pun intended). I think Brian Denehhey (sp?) played her attorney. Seems like it was a 4-hour movie that is shown once in a blue moon on probably the Lifetime channel. I taped it several years ago and still can't remember the title. It was a real good story. Thanks for the heads up about TruTV. I'll watch for it.

The TV movie came first, yes, then this re-telling of the story on TruTV. Sandra Brown didn't even write about the crime, but says she lived in Texas at the time and had followed the story, and so presents it.
That was an excellent movie btw: "A Killing in a Small Town" I think it was called? I have the tape from TV as well.
btw: I'm not sure if the body shown on the show was real. You'd think they would specify re-enactment if was fake tho.

I caught an interesting episode of Murder By The Book last week that reminded me of Lizzie. It was about the 1997 murder of Roberto Villegas by his very wealthy lover, heiress Susan Cummings. She served less than sixty days for a manslaughter conviction. What money won't buy.

"To wives and sweethearts - may they never meet."
