i was married in lizzie's sitting room! I rented the entire house on 2nd street for the night and had my entire wedding party sllep over. Of course my bride and I slept in the guest room where Abyy was murdered. On Halloween of course! But I think we were cursed because after 4 years of marriage I am now divorced! Anyone wanna discuss?[shadow=red][/shadow][shadow=#444444][/shadow]

I notice you're from Salem, MA, the witch capital of the world.
And you're blaming Lizzie for your curse?
Boo!

I'm sorry to hear that your wedding didn't work out, Derekstef, thats too bad. I wouldn't think you would be cursed by being married there, Andrew and Abby Borden had been married for about 30 years when they met their demise. Bridget the maid eventually went on to be married. And as for Lizzie and Emma, who knows? Maybe they wanted to be married and weren't asked, maybe they decided that married life wasn't for them. I'm engaged to be married again myself, though I am taking my time and having a long engagement, I'd like to be as sure as I can be.

It depends on why you got married there.
If you thought that the house was a drivethrough wedding chapel and Lizzie was Elvis in drag, you're Britney Spears, and four years is an amazing length of time to stay drunk. Curse likelihood: 98% chance that oops, you'll do it again; 0.00000000000001% chance that Lizzie is at fault
If the best man was wearing a Richard Nixon mask, the maid of honor wore a witch's hat, the bridesmaids were dressed in gorilla suits, and the ushers were cheerleaders (or vice versa), it was a Halloween prank that got out of hand. Divorce was inevitable. Curse likelihood: 13%
If you married there because you and your bride so deeply admired the principles of thrift and virtue embodied in Andrew Borden and were hoping to emulate his family life, you're lucky to have gotten off with just a divorce decree and a night of vomiting spoiled mutton broth. Curse likelihood: 92%

I got married at Lizzie's house. Am I cursed?

Dear Derek,
Hi. I wanted to extend my sympathy on your recent divorce.
I don't think getting married at Lizzie's cursed you at all; I got married there myself on opening day, Aug. 4th, 1996 and Dave and I are still happily married. We were also married in the sitting room, but we spent our honeymoon night in Emma's room. For some reason, I can't sleep in Lizzie's room. We stayed in the infamous guest room the night before the nuptials.
I'm sure you tried everything but it takes two to make a marriage work. Dave and I have been through a lot, money problems, family problems, death of beloved family members, etc..."Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans." I also like what the dad said in the movie "Just Married" with Britney Murphy and Ashton Kucher while they were looking at a photo album-"Very rarely do you see pictures of when you are having bad times. You only see the happy ones." But it's the tough times that ultimately get you to those happier times.
I don't know what went wrong, but if you need someone to talk to, we're here for you. Getting married was the happiest day of my life, as I'm sure it was for you. This will be tough but you will get through with the help of family and friends. And you know, you never do know because my parents divorced and remarried after about 7 years apart. I guess they needed that time apart to realize how much they truly met to one another.
I'm here if you ever want to talk.
Love,
Pam

Your marriage may have been cursed but it is not because you had the wedding there I am sure that there are other reasons that you are divorced. Don't blame Lizzie

I would never even set foot in that house. That’s one creepy place I can’t believe people pay to sleep and eat there.
