Sorry to slip in through the basement door without introducing myself. I'm sneaky like that. I am Stargazer, and happy to be a part of the Lizzie Borden Society. I live in Arizona, and I am a writer. I'm 62, and a spinster. (not a bad thing) No matter how hard I try to forget the Borden case, (frustrated that I can't solve it) I always wander back online to see what's new. Thank You for having me as a member.

Welcome aboard, Stargazer! I hope you have fun on the forum. Arizona? I'm only one state away here in sunny California.
Don't feel bad. We would all like to solve it. I always feel that there are a few pieces of this enigma that are totally missing. If we could just find them the rest would fall into place. Who knows, maybe one day...
Again, welcome aboard!

Welcome Stargazer. I am in West Texas so now you are sandwiched between 2 Steves.

I was born and raised in Fall River, Ma. and was actualy born on the same day as Lizzie. Thats what got me first curious about this case and I have been curious now for about 40 yrs.

Thank you very much. I believe that the devil is in the details, as they say. I seem to fixate on each aspect as I drift off to sleep at night. The mindscreen allows me to wander around the house. As a female, I try to have some empathy for Lizzie, and Emma, because we are never 100% sure about anything.
I do have to wonder how many letters are out there that were written by neighbors, and friends connected to the case. It seems that more witnesses should have come forward. It was a feeding frenzy. Surely people saw Uncle John leave the house, and hang out at the trolley station ? Nowadays any witnesses would be on CNN, right ?

OK. I will AXE the question : How do we commemorate ? I can suffer some heat, since I am in the desert. I can light a candle, and...(drumroll) have some Johnny cakes, since I am a vegetarian, and being an Aries, mutton is especially out of the question. Oh, I will wear an apron, and long skirt....with my hair in a BUN !

I wore a long flowered black skirt and black crop top with black jet jewelry to work today and told my friend Carmen it was the 117th anniversary of the unsolved Borden murders. She said "I'm sorry for your loss."
-She gets it! ~Oh and thought it pretty cool the Forum members are dressed in period costume enacting scenes from the day at the House itself.
When the pictures start being posted she wants a link to take a look!

Steve, Steve S, Nadzieja, Kssunflower, DJ, Kat, and Harry, thank you for the welcome. I am working on some questions, and need to make sure that they haven't been discussed before. (not that it matters to you if it has. You are all eager to examine things from every angle.)
