I am pulling hard for the Saints, for many sentimental reasons, and because it's taken them so many years (four decades, plus) to make the Big Bowl.
Besides, Peyton and the Colts have won it recently. I like him and wish him the best. He grew up in New Orleans, with his Dad, Archie, playing for the Saints. In a perfect world, PM would be QBing for the Saints in his hometown!
Not to detract from Drew Brees-- he runs just a hair's breadth behind Peyton in the "perfect world" QB scenario for the Saints. Who dat?!!!

I have to go with the Saints also. Indy and Manning have had enough time in the limelight.

I really never care much who wins just so long as it's a good game. If they were not already winners they would not be at the Super Bowl. So for me it's a toss up.
However, I will be sitting in front of my TV watching with a good supply of BBQ'd hot dogs, chips, potato salad, baked beans and plenty of Pepsi. It's one of the few days when I splurge. In fact I'm going out this morning to buy the stuff.

You need a third choice in that poll Harry---"who cares"

Atta boy, Harry.
After reading about both teams I'll have to side with the Saints. I'll be cheering for them. There is nothing I enjoy more than a good well played game by two teams who give it their best.

My brother lives in San Diego. He is a Chargers fan, of course. San Diego was a losing team and got a first round draft pick. They picked Drew Brees (the current quarterback for the Saints). He spent most of the first year complaining. He hated the city, the team, etc. He was being paid like 30 million dollars. He went on the disabled list, still collecting his salary. He was caught playing a pick up game with friends on the beach. It was a huge deal for San Diego. My brother said he has zero respect for a man who gets paid as much as Brees was and fakes being injured because he doesn't like that he was picked by a certain team. San Diego does not miss him. And they root for any team he is playing against.

BTW, my dad always said that all pro sports are rigged. There is just too much money riding on the outcome for it not to be.

Yes, Stef, there's an obscene amount of money in it-- however, as with top box-office stars-- the money is obviously being generated to supply these contracts. What's really gross to me is the head-coach salaries for college football, which is supposed to be an amateur sport but of course is also a huge cash cow.
I hate to hear the back story on Brees at San Diego. However, he has been a huge plus for the Saints, and for the city of New Orleans. So please know that he has some redeeming qualities (now, if I heard he was engaged in dog fighting, he would be permanently crossed off my list, no matter what).
Once, some decades ago, I was "going off" on Jane Fonda, when one of my teachers remarked, "You need to let her grow up."
I'm all for people who do evolve, who do grow up-- Brees isn't my personal hero, although I do appreciate what he's done for NOLA.

I voted today. Usually I never get those kinds of things right.
