The Ghost Lab Show

I was excited to see a new program on about Lizzie-- but didn't like it at all. I didn't like the demeanor of the guy who was shouting and yelling.

I guess it was their prerogative to assume Lizzie was guilty, and I guess this made it OK (in their minds) to treat her so badly-- buy why yell at Andrew?

Also-- assuming Lizzie did do it-- and that Andrew knew she did-- why assume he hasn't forgiven her and if successfully 'mediumed' back from the dead, how do we know he wouldn't 'protect' her?

Yes, I agree Aamartin.

I to found the method, which is one used by other ghost chasers, over the top with these two guys.

Many questions can be asked.

Is this all fake?

If not, how do we know they were talking to Andrew? Charles Trafton who had 92 built lived there for 27 years. Who is to say that they were not communicating with Trafton?

Trafton's young wife died there.

If there is a parallel spirit world how do they know they are talking to the right person? Perhaps its Jeffery Dahmer who likes playing pranks on the living.

If there's a spirit world, who is to say that these spirits were ever human or of this planet?

And why are all of these spirits on these ghost shows nasty and arrogant?

If you die naked do you go into the spirit world without clothing? Do you have a choice in clothing to take with you?

Could they be Demons in disguise? Or are the ghost chasers the Demons by playing a joke on the world?

All entertainment at best and profitable at very best.

COME-ON-NOW :!:

I just watched it from my DVR. It was stooopid. The one brother yells and screams, has made up his mind ahead of time, and gets the location of the murder of Andrew wrong in the introduction to the show.

I have to say, however, that the shots of the outside of the house, when the paint had been stripped, were the best creepy images of the house i have ever seen.

Lee ann looked great as did Barbara. Other than that, I think I saw Shelley's feet in one shot.

I agree- it was pathetic. If I was Lizzie I would have kicked him too. And to bring in the attorney was ridiculous.

Drat, I missed it. Was watching the world series.

Gotta check to see if it's scheduled for a repeat.

It's on again November 1 at 2am in the morning. Nah, I'll pass on that time.

"Hey, Andrew, you got scre-w-e-d!"

Duh-- ya think??? Hadda laugh! I would have kicked the guy in the leg, too. "I'm not through with you," indeed!

However, as Stefani remarked, the shots were good. So, nice marks on the visuals; the two creeps (particularly the loud mouth) bring the content down to failing.

At least Lizzie was matched up with her photo. In so many of these programs, the photo of Bridget is put on the screen, misidentified in the narration as Lizzie.

I didn't see it either, but it sounds too much like Most Haunted. Maybe Derek Acorah was lurking in the background?

And, some how I don't think the phrase "you got that right" would have been in Andrew's vernacular...
PS: Very glad to see you back, Tracy. Stick around for a while!

Thanks for starting this topic!

Yes, the shots of the paintless Borden House made it look to me like a 3-D graphic, especially when it was shown at twilight with the lights on inside!
I did not like those guys' approach to investigation.
Also, at one point they were discussing downstairs their good-cop/bad-cop strategy before going up to the guest room- like the spirits couldn't hear them!? Come on...!Image

They were at the B&B for a week. And yet, they only filmed a few measly minutes? I thought that the whole show would be about Lizzie Borden. It was barely half.

They were there a really long time to only get what they got.

I think this show has lots of problems. The one brother is too loud and abrasive, yelling at ghosts like he is demanding something. That is not provoking, as some ghosthunters do, it is more like being rude to the possible spirits.

They also don't do a wrap up of the investigation. It just ends. I would expect them to at least sum up what they found, their personal experiences, etc. So it was somewhat of a shock to me when the second segment started.

These guys looked big in this house. I realize they are big men, but in this house, with the equipment that they had with them, they seemed like King Kongs! I was afraid they were going to break something.

Alos, did you guys think that the only reason why the guy was punched or kicked was because Lee ann said that had happened to her?

All in all, the most disappointing ghost show on TV. And they didn't do Lizzie any favors by doing an episode on the case.

I thought the whole kick thing was faked.

I also thought the show was to entirely devoted to Lizzie-- and was initially disappointed when they did the 'coming up next promo'... Later I was delighted when it was over....

If this show was filmed way back when the B&B was as yet unpainted, c. 2005, what took the production company so long to get this done and aired, and still a bad job?? :?: That's 5 years! Maybe they were going to scrap the attempt and tried to salvage it lately?

Thanks, Tracy. Guess I didn't miss much.

LOTS of scary movies on TV this weekend but no Legend of Lizzie Borden!

Kat they recently repainted the B&B. The old paint job didn't last. She used RhinoShield this time. It is a ceramic paint, I think.

Anyway, according to Shelley, there were 6 different shows filming there this spring and summer. Some short pieces and some longer ones.

In November is Paranormal Kids (or is it Psychic Kids?). They do the whole show there.

Thanks Stef!

There was a very good show on the same night (I think), or the next night: it was on TruTv and was video clips of UFO and Paranormal activity. It was touted as a "Premiere." I can't find the name! It was very well done- they would show the clip and give the story and context- then they would slow it down and show it again, then go right on to the next video. There were ghosts, UFO's, alien animals (Cryptozoology), things like that. If it comes on again, you might want to invest in that hour. It was good enough to record.

I didn't see the show, but from what you each have to say, I trust your opinions. There is a world of difference between genuine researchers, and a gaggle of charlatans. A sense of humor is a great thing to have, and there is a time, and place for it, but good researchers operate on many levels. Think of psychics as finely tuned recievers. There are energies coming and going all the time, so no two people will agree 100% on anything.

Perhaps in life, the spirits may be attracted to those who are sympathetic to their situations, and irritated by living souls who give off bad vibrations. As in life, so in death ? The wrong people can ruin the party, so to speak. At least this wonderful group and I still have open minds for the most part, and will always be looking for new answers, and new angles.
