Lizzie at the movies?

Last night I watched a silent movie, Traffic In Souls, (1913) and it made me wonder if Lizzie was caught up in the new media of motion pictures. I doubt if she would have gone in Fall River but her numerous trips to Boston would have afforded her the opportunity. Did she ever see Nance in one of her movies?
The movie last night was one of the earliest of regular length and was on from 9 to 10:30 on the TCM channel. They have some more silents scheduled for tomorrow the 10th.

It seems logical to me that Lizzie would avail herself of this new entertainment medium at least when she was visiting in Boston, New York or Washington,D.C. . She seemed to keep up with the latest technological advancements as they became available. I also doubt though that she would go downtown in Fall River to the Academy Theater or any other theater in Fall River and catch a matinee.

Chaplin, Pickford, Fairbanks, the Gish sisters-- they were all international celebrities above and beyond anyone living today. They created and built Hollywood and the U.S. film industry. Almost everyone went to the movies! As you both state, as per Miss Lizbeth, the question would be where, not if. It would have been tantamount to not owning a TV set today.

True, DJ. They don't make stars like those anymore. Many of today's "stars" are either talentless, drugged-up, drunk, in rehab, in prison or should be. I'm sure Lizzie enjoyed a good film. I often wonder if there are film clips of Lizzie, perhaps of her attending a big gala or opening night, hidden away some where. Maybe the camera man didn't know who she was. That would be a nice search for one of us.
