I was reading thru Lizzie inquest testimony and I thought it alittle odd some of the questions they were asking her. I mean, for instance, " Have you any idea what your father is worth?" and "Have you ever heard him say?", and "Have you formed an opinon ?". And also asking her if Andrew and Abby were happy and loved each other and if he had a will or ever discussed a will with a lawyer and such.

I mean, how would she have known the answers to those kinds of questions? I have to assume my parents are happy and love each other and also have a will, but they don't discuss this kind of information with me. So, how would she have known the answers to those kinds of questions?

You're right Robin, I too, was never aware of my parents business. I don't believe I'd ever heard either of them mention a will or whether or not they had one. My dad owned and operated his own business, he was a jewler and a watchmaker. Did I know any of his business matter's or how much he made, or how much he was worth.....nope. Too be honest, it was none of my business and I never really thought about it. I think where they were going with the questions they were asking Lizzie, was a motive.

I agree, knowing the answers to those questions tends to imply motive. The questions were likely asked to determine whether Lizzie had an answer or not, they weren't necessarily interested in the correct answer. The attempt to provide an answer, correct or incorrect, establishes an awareness on Lizzie's part. I think that's what they were after.

I was not informed of my parents having wills, if they even had a lawyer or what they were worth. Like Pam said, it was none of my business. Were my parents happy and did they love each other? My parent were not physically affectionate toward each other in front of me or my siblings, so I can only assume they were happy and that they did love each other.

I agree with Pam and Jeff – they were seeking a motive.

Yes, I believe too that the police were trying to prove motive. I think that is the reason they were asking all those questions of the will and how much money Andrew was worth.
