I have never seen it, but I remember the controversy when it came out. It was supposed to be pretty bad.

I watched it when it first came out, it tore at my heart in a way that I can't even begin to explain.

I know, I was emotionally exhausted afterwards. The brutality was intense, it seemed the flogging went on for hours. Very upsetting film.

I had several friends that went as a group, but I just couldn't go with them. From what I've heard, I don't think I'll ever be able to watch it.
