Bridget's Dress
I'm reading the testimony of Mrs. Churchill and she is asked about the dress Bridget was wearing. She replied that she thought it might be a "light calico" but that she couldn't be sure (aside from what she was wearing, she couldn't be sure about any of the other females). Does anyone know for sure? Thanks!

Re: Bridget's Dress
None of the females who were attending Lizzie after her parents' deaths could remember what she was wearing except that it was blue. Not even Bridget, which is odd and has been speculated on endlessly in this Forum (as to the cause of her amnesia!) At least Mrs Churchill had a go at describing what she saw. What is notable is that the Bengaline silk dress that Lizzie handed over to the police later and was shown in Court wasn't identified by any of the witnesses a the one she was wearing on the Thursday morning. Interesting, eh!
Take a look at the thread 'Bridget's loose Dress' which is now at the top of Page 2 in the threads. I posted Officer Harrington's description of Lizzie's pink wrapper. We said at the time that it was a pity Harrington wasn't sent to the Borden house earlier in the day. Then we would know for sure what she was wearing on the Thursday morning.
